For over the past 25 years have been photographing and publishing files from various Midwest walkabouts.
Have made, as much as possible, an effort to continue returning to previous locations in order to document - any or no - change.
Brief bit of background:Named after the spice bush, Spiceland was settled in the 1820s by Quaker pioneers from Virginia and the Carolinas.
The town, with a 2025 population of 960, was established in 1847 and incorporated in 1869.
On a very early visit, recorded the Gourmet Ice Cream shop.
Returning a year later,
it was now the home of Stitches.
On a visit a few years later, the building now housing County Memories Flora
was taped off and appeared unused.
On recent Sunday's walkabout,
the building had been refitted and area landscape tidied up.
The Gourmet Ice Cream, Stitches and the County Memories Flora businesses gone. The building and door have received a fresh coat of paint and building appears ready and available for a tenant.
