Monday Morning Coffee: Spiceland - There Was A Time

There was a time - late 1800's to early 1900's - when the Midwest was at the edge of the frontier. Among many things, it was a period of construction as industry and businesses needed a home.

Not just any building would do, but a rather detailed carefully constructed one.

Sadly, ever so many of these organizations are long gone and all that's left are memories and in some cases a few remaining structures.

Those still standing are either empty and unused or recycled into a new use for today's life style.

In the town center of Spiceland - still standing - is the Henry County Bank building an elaborate detailed red brick structure

    Spiceland, Indiana.

Moving in closer, to discover

   Spiceland, Indiana.

the 1910 building now shares the space with the Spiceland - Town Township and the Public Library.
