The new year while offering a fresh start, promises to be filled with several world wide, national and local changes. While many will be welcomed there certainly will be several that will not.
The new year will offer a few Midwestern communities to prosper. However for the most part, many will continue on a slow steady population and opportunity decline.
The task - for My Midwest - is to continue visit, document the region and present the results.
Sadly, the journey will not begin today. As locally the present temperature on the first day of 2025 is 29 degrees and predicted to only reach high 30's.
The weather report implies that there will be no visit and photo walkabouts. Rather after posting, it is a day of baking bread, consuming several cups of coffee and watching soccer on TV.

The buildings along the main downtown street while dated are alive with today's services and products.
