This blog - for the most part - is an attempt to present life, times and especially architecture of Midwestern America.
Many locations are often abandoned, left to slowly decay and finally completely disappear. Others - not many - have been able to survive and prosper.
It is My Midwest, a place where I was born, raised, educated, worked, retired and now wander about visiting and photographing.
The blog photographs are not the work of AI. Rather, they are representations of a specific time and place.
Continue to marvel at the architects dream for a structure and the handcraft of the workers that make that dream a reality.
While most of the blog entries are color photographs, strongly believe there is a place for black and white work.
Every now and then while standing still, simplicity, contrast, placement and light come together resulting in a black & white photograph.
It was in such a moment that
and
I saw and photographed my favorite 2024 blog black & white images.
Now 2024 is ending, 2025 is about to get underway and along with Willie on the speakers, will be "On the Road Again".
