Black & White Wednesday: Analog - Good To Be Back

Up early, outside temp's 36f and freeze warning posted.

Paisley and I made a quick trip outside and returned just as quickly in order to warm up.  Thank goodness for coffee.

Really can't complain, as we are way better off than the folks in the Southeastern part of the country.  Promised to be warmer later in the week.

There are times when it seems using digital materials and processing becomes a bit of boredom.  In some ways the - same old / same old - button and key punching is rather repetitive.

When this feeling occurs, I take a digital break and return to analog film black and white photography.

Usually attempt to come up with something that am unable to accomplish with digital but is rather straightforward and possible with film.

Now to my knowledge, there are no digital pan cameras.  There are several choices for film users.

Decided to have at it.  Put a roll of film in a pan camera, grabbed a light meter and set out to the industrial South end of town.

During a short walkabout, exposed a roll of film, returned home and developed the film.

The film gods were with me, as the exposure and developing results were just fine.

The next task was to select an image and then make a  digital scan for posting.

While there were several possibilities, selected this view

of warehouses along the railroad track.

It felt good to be back in the darkroom with film and chemicals.  Need to return more often.
