Monday Morning Coffee: Exceeded Expectations

Sunday started off with cloudy overcast skies which by early afternoon cleared and were replaced by bright sunlight.

Told Paisley she was in charge, picked up the Pentax kit,
headed out the door, fired up the car and drove to a nearby location.

Parked, removed the K3 from the bag, attached the Sigma 8-16mm lens, got out, selected a vantage position and started photographing.

   Richmond, Indiana.

The coin laundry on the left has been recycled and is now the home of St. Vincent DePaul Outreach Center.

The former dry cleaning building, on the right, is now a warehouse for Habitat For Humanity.

After finishing here, drove over to far west side of town to
what was once a shopping center that included a K-Mart and is now a rather impressive U-Haul location.

    Richmond, Indiana.

Most impressed by not only the color results but also the amazing sharpness of the images.  Finally, with this choice of equipment a long narrow composition opens up a possibility to show a relationship between attached buildings.

Needless to say, this camera / lens combination exceeded all my expectations.

Later in the week, will post additional Pentax K3 / 8-16mm results.
