As with far too many Midwest Locations, it is currently declining at a rate of -0.46% annually.
Its population has decreased by -1.22% since the 2020 census, which recorded a population of 17,398.
On an 2009 walkabout in New Castle, the Sign Shop was closed and vacant.
On my last visit in 2021, the building had been restored and updated for commercial retail business and apartments.
