Been a good week. Weather has improved with the temperatures reaching the low 80's and the humidity percentage dropping to a comfortable level.
The change in weather offers an opportunity to resume the morning
Preble County walkabouts. Not happening. Because of a reoccurring
physical difficulty, we are restricted short morning walks in the
neighborhood. Hopefully these will be overcome in the near, rather than
the far, future.
The good news is that exterior construction and repairs are under way and should be finished this week. Unfortunately the interior rehab has stalled. This means that the darkroom is not available to use.
Returning to the Midwest photography project, remaining
wall signage, often found on older buildings throughout the Midwest,
offers insight into local history. Usually advertising goods and
services, they identify the needs and wishes of the time.
The Gold Medal Flour signage is a common one as it
seemingly appears everywhere.
More from Peru in the coming days.
