TGIF: Another Pythias Castle

Been a quiet low key week.  Outside - morning walks along with dealing with yard clean up and fallen leaves.  Inside - fireplace inspection, repair and cleaning.

You know the season has changed as the Spring / Summer professional sports wind down and the the Fall / Winter professional sports get underway.

All across the Midwest - in small communities as well as large cities - a common sight is a lodge hall.  Some of these buildings continue to be supported by active members. Others, for lack of active members, are recycled for other purposes or closed and abandoned.

Wandering about Columbus Grove came upon a wonderful architectural example of a Pythias Castle.

A closeup of the arch on the right side shows the "logo" of the Order.

This building, along with the rest of the village, is neat, clean, tidy and well cared for.
