While wandering around Columbus Grove, it was easy to be struck by overall view. As noted earlier and often, the village buildings / structures are impressive with respect to the architecture and care lavished on them.
Documentary photography calls for a thoroughness, a concern for all the multiple small areas involved and accuracy when composing a photograph.

As an aid to composition, take the time to mentally break a scene down into smaller parts. After consciously taking note of the minutiae involved for a time, it is likely that a smaller selection with be stronger than the whole.
