Monday Morning Coffee: Markle, Indiana

Markle, Indiana is a village in Huntington and Wells counties. The population was 1102 at the 2000 census and by July 1, 2017 it had dropped to 1058.  A touch more than 25% of the population is over 62 and the white ethnicity is 98.4%.

The Pickle Bar and Restaurant -  rated the #1 of 4 restaurants - is located on the street level of the F. & A. M. building.

   Markle, Indiana.

From their web page:

"Come join us at The Pickle for the area's hottest spuds, coldest suds, and much more!  To complement  our crowd-pleasing menu, we have earned a great reputation for our friendly, attentive "service-with-a-smile" hospitality. The Pickle is one fun bar!"

Interesting to note that the Pickle is a smoking-friendly establishment. Must be 21 to enter.

More from Markle all this week.
