TGIF: You're in a City When

Traveling about the smaller Midwest communities it is not uncommon to discover a lodge hall.  Usually they date from the late 1800's and/or early 1900's.  A few continue to serve as an active lodge hall.

  Fisher, Illinois

As time passes and interest wanes, some have been converted into something other than a meeting place for the Society

  Heyworth, Illinois

Others have been closed down and boarded .

  New Lebanon, Indiana

Things can be different in a larger Midwestern city.  With a larger and more diverse population to draw on, many Society's are active and their lodge halls reflect this.

You're in a city when this is the Society's lodge hall.

  Cedar Rapids, Iowa
