The March 30 post - Pure Oil Company - contained:

 "The one-story English cottage style gas station building is typical of gas stations built in the 1930s in order to harmonize with their residential surroundings."

In the center of the city along an East bound US 40 bypass, there is a State Farm Insurance Office. 

   Richmond, Indiana.

Now if it looks like a one-story English cottage style gas station, then perhaps in an earlier life it was.
