A few more results from the Sunday Historic District walkabout with the Fuji X100F and the 28mm conversion lens.
Richmond, Indiana.
Richmond, Indiana.
Was so impressed with the results using the wide angle converter lens, that decided the conversion to 50mm version would be a useful addition to the kit.
Checking availability, discovered that the usual photography stores had no stock.
O.K. plan B - Amazon. Yes, they listed the lens and it was in stock. After deep breath - would rather not use Amazon but was the only place with stock - ordered the lens.
Now, have ordered non photographic items from Amazon in the past and experienced few problems. This time is was different!
Seems - I didn't know - the ordered and available lens was not in the United States. It was in England.
The journey follows:
Sunday March 21 ordered and shipped to Rochester, Kent GB. Then moved to London-Heathrow, GB. A carrier delay occurred and returned to East Midlands, GB. Latter the package was shipped to Leipzig, Germany and from there flown to Cincinnati, Ohio USA. After the package completed customs clearance process, it was sent to Dayton, Ohio USA. On Thursday March 25 it was delivered here in Richmond, Indiana USA and appears to have survived the trip unharmed.
In the coming days, as the weather improves, will take it out for a test drive.
