Early Sunday mornings are usually very quiet in small Midwest communities. About the only activity often is located in and around a church. A fine time to walkabout, view structures and photograph without detraction's.
On entering Montpelier, parked the car, picked up a camera and starting walking.
First photography location was the local American Legion Post 109.
Montpelier, Indiana. As with other Legion Posts their purpose, as stated in a Mission Statement, is to
Lend a Hand to Those Who Served and the Future of Our Community. Membership is open to all Honorably Discharged Veterans who served any time from December 7, 1941 to the present.
From there, a couple of blocks North came across a rather impressive bit of wall art. This seems to be a popular Midwest means of showing local history.
