Monday Morning Coffee: Equipment Testing In Poneto

The ordered Pentax equipment was scheduled to be delivered on Friday but it arrived late afternoon on Saturday.  Spent the evening preparing it's use on Sunday which was forecasted to be warmish and sunny.

Up early, filled a thermos with coffee, loaded the car, put Paisley in charge and drove off to test the old and new Pentax photo equipment.

Planed to stop and photograph in four locations.  Now have been to each several times and this journey was about using the Pentax kit to compare with the results of previous visits.

The first selected location was Poneto.

The town of Poneto in Wells County, Indiana was platted in 1871 and has a 2025 population of 176.

The name Poneto was likely chosen by its residents for its uniqueness, as there was no other town in the country with the name.

The post office at Poneto has been in operation since 1881.

As the  Postal Service often doesn't deliver mail in small communities.

   Poneto, Indiana.

Residents go to the post office to pick up their mail.

Located on a nearby street is Smith'S Garage And Trucking Inc.

an old cinder-block auto repair shop.

Finally, a file from the last location before leaving town.

All and all, the recent and previous Pentax bodies and lenses performed rather well.  Believe the kit is  completed and now need to get out and about using it.
