Up early, outside temperature 37f, dress, head into kitchen, start perking coffee, go outdoors with Paisley, quickly return, feed Paisley, warm a cold cup, fill it with fresh hot coffee, carry it over to a table, sit down, take a sip, and look out the nearby window. Our day - Friday, May 8, 2025 is under way.
After a bit, pour another cup of coffee, pick it up and - along with Paisley - move to the photography computer area.
After checking various World News sites, it's time to review available photography files and select one for today's blog.
Recent events - locally, nationally, World wide - lead to selecting
Location: A closed and rather depressing result from a near-by Midwest community.
Nationally: The pronouncements emanating from Washington and their resulting effects on individuals and organizations. Believe that it will be a long, difficult and expensive time to overcome our present conditions.
World Wide: Yesterday in another part of the world, the Catholic Cardinal Clergy selected a new Pope. Chicago born, he is reported to be an unusual low-key, intelligent American with experience in serving the abandoned and disfranchised among us.
Hopefully his presence and actions will help to offset the present chaotic and troublesome state of the Planet.
