TGif: Camden's Midwest Icons

Camden, a small village with a population that is a bit short of 2,000, has been a delightful surprise.

An organization, with offices on the East and West coast's, is now in Camden.  Older buildings were cleared and replaced by a new national headquarters building.  A small Midwest communities dream come true.

Fear not, as there are still several typical Midwest small town icons to be found in Camden.

Of course there is the ever present Lodge Hall.  The members may have faded away, but the building remains,

Along with the Half-Way Tavern is the Whiskey

I find spending time in a small Midwest community provides a spiritual and intense emotional reconnection.

Not everyone has that same relationship, but it is meaningful for me as a place to regain a balance and find a sense of peace in what is otherwise a very chaotic world.
