Rising Sun, Indiana was registered in 1816 by John James, originally of Frederick County, Maryland. At the time, it had a population of about 700.
With a 2024 population of 2325 Rising Sun is the county seat and only incorporated community in Ohio Country.
Fletcher's Feed & Farm was founded in 1989 by Gene Fletcher.
Their products include pasture chemicals, show supplies, garden supplies, pet supplies, feed, fencing, stock tanks up to 10 ft, bulk fertilizer and tack.
For frequent customers, there are pet food vouchers and a frequent buyer program.
