Black & White Wednesday: Calmar, Iowa

Yes it's hot.  Temp + Hum = 3 digits.  Fine time to be inside with AC, slice of fresh bread and the usual cup of coffee.

Unlike the folks in Texas, we still have power. Although there are several broken tree branches about the property.

Recalling that it was a rather nice day while spending time in Calmar.

Now Calmar, Iowa, platted in 1854, was named after Kalmar, Sweden and incorporated on July 14, 1869.

The total population of Calmar city in Winneshiek County, is estimated to be 831.

  Calmar, Iowa.

Calmar is at the junction of U.S. Route 52 and State highways 150 and 24, where both state routes terminate.

Try to stay cool and check back on Friday.
