TGIF: Health / Grafton / Mother's Day

Been 7+ days of health problems.

Short story - specialist said was no longer a patent, family doctor didn't respond to call till 2 days later, went to ER had tests was given med's sent home, 3 days later ER called and told me have wrong med's need stop them and take these new ones.

Results - not completely back to normal, a wee bit better.

Had intended to spent the week with Grafton results which has not happened.

Grafton is a city in and the county seat of Taylor County, West Virginia with a 2024 population of 4458 and a growth rate -1.44%.

Along a main street Andrews Methodist Episcopal Church. Dedicated in 1873, it served as until January 6, 1967.

A nonprofit was formed in 1962 to acquire the Andrews property and begin transitioning it into a shrine to honor all mothers and a memorial to Mother’s Day Founder Anna Jarvis and her mother, Ann Reeves Jarvis.

The church and the nonprofit jointly operated out of the building until the church vacated the building and moved to a new facility in 1967.

The building is a National Historic Landmark and the National Park Service still refers to it as Andrews Methodist Episcopal Church since that it what it was when it hosted the first official Mother’s Day service on May 10, 1908.
