Monday Morning Coffee: Home With A New "Hammer"

On Sunday the weather finally cleared up with warm - 50's - temperatures along with a bright sun.  Great time to be out and about with cameras.

Where to go?  Had several locations in mind but since the previous week was one of a long slow health recovery, decided to stick close to My Midwest headquarters.  With Liah sleeping, packed up and headed out.

Photographing a familiar place can be a challenge.  Having seemingly seen it many times over a number of years, obtaining something fresh and different is often difficult.

While not certain that this part of the journey was successful, did return with a number of acceptable results.

   Richmond, Indiana.

   Richmond, Indiana.

An element of the wander was to check out a new piece of equipment.  In a effort to reduce the total amount of photographic equipment, obtained a new (12 - 100mm) lens to replace two (12 - 40mm and a 40 - 100mm) lenses.

The above photographs were captured with the new lens. They certainly suggest that the replacement lens is a perfectly good one and the camera bag is now a touch lighter and easier to carry.
