These choices may or may not be the best results but rather the ones that mean the most to me.
Today, will start with the third favorite black and white choice.
Convoy, Ohio.
While have not done very much black and white this year, on a early foggy morning, it was an easy choice for this grain elevator.
For a third favorite color photograph
New Castle, Indiana.
This was done rather early in the year and shows an major concern and a different way of stating that concern.
In viewing the years color collection, one of the emphases has been to show, using late 1800's and early 1900's structures, the early architectural richness of the Midwest. For the most part, this was achieved, as with the above black white image, using wide views of the complete subject.
In the above color photograph, another goal was to point out that the area continues to have economic difficulties. Here a closer selection seemed to be the strongest way of seeing.
Check back tomorrow for the second place selections.
