During the past eight years, have made over ten photography trips to Union City, Indiana. It is a personal favorite for its architecture, retail and local food offerings.

Indianapolis radio and television stations have reported that 
Union City has been named the poorest city in Indiana, according to 24/7 Wall Street. 

This is based on the following:

      31% of people in Union City live below the poverty line, 
      which is more than twice of Indiana's statewide rate of      
      15.4% .

      About 1 in 4 people living in Union City receive food     
      stamps compared to 12.5% of Hoosiers statewide. 

      The town median household income in Union City is   
      $31,238 while the statewide median household income 
      is $49,255.

Nationwide, Union City ranks 14th among America's poorest cities. 24/7 Wall Street ranked Selma, Alabama the poorest city in America. Selma has a median household income of $22,414 and a poverty rate of 42%.
