TGIF: Man vs Machine

For the most part, the past week went quickly and smoothly -  except for one day.  Wednesday turned out to be the day from hell.  It started when a notice that it was time to profile  came up on the computer screen.

Stopped working, picked the profiling tool off the shelve and began to connect it to the computer.  Unfortunately, the computer didn't recognize the profiling censor.

Tried several ways to solve this communication problem.
Restarted computer, reconnected censor still not working.

After several attempts of turning on and off and reconnecting these devices, decided to uninstall the profiling software.

Reinstalling the software, and connecting the two machines, they still remained unable to see each other.

Time for the ultimate solution - a cup of coffee and looking out the window.

Returning to the task at hand, went about connecting and unconnecting the machines, removing and installing the software with no success.

Moved to another computer and that computer and the profiling censor spoke to each other with no problems.

Moving back to the problem plagued computer, decided to attempt communication one more time.  Removed and reinstalled software and connected the computer and the censor.  IT WORKED!

Problem solved.  This bit of activity consumed most of the morning and a good part of the afternoon.

Finally a couple of results from the Decatur walkabout.
