Monday Morning Coffee: A Quiet OK Community.

With clear and sunny weather, set out for a journey to Western Ohio.  First stop was Rockford.

Arrived in mid-morning to discover the community quiet and absolutely empty of people along the main street.

Now Rockford a village in Mercer County, had a population of some 1120  in 2010.  However on this Sunday morning. no one was out and about.

The village of Rockford, originally founded as Shane’s Crossing in 1820 by Anthony Shane, a French Ottawa Indian, is the oldest village in Mercer County.

A bit further further along the main street was an unusual building. While most of the structures in Rockford are brick, this one certainly is not.

Have no idea its purpose but it is certainly OK.
