Monday Morning Coffee: Choosing Tools.

"There seems to be a perverse charm in finding ways to use totally inappropriate, ancient lenses."
                                                                                  Kirk Tuck

After viewing ever so many "cookie cutter" digital images produced using the latest equipment and software, Tuck's observation provided another motivation to investigate returning to using analog film, cameras and lenses.

Returning to an earlier technology is not unique to photography, as there are those that have embraced vinyl records, vacuum tubes and manual transmissions over CD's, transistor's and automatic shift vehicles.

Consider:

   Centerville, Indiana.

Note that several of these hand tools have been replaced by motorized tools.

While many embrace the use of the modern and latest, there are a few that relish an earlier time. For these folks, there seems to be a perverse charm in finding ways to use totally inappropriate, ancient materials and tools.
