TGIF: Pitsburg, Ohio.


Pitsburg is a village in Monroe Township, Darke County, Ohio. It was founded as Arnettsville in 1880 and at the time it was described as living only in name. 

The community recovered over the next several decades and by 1914 the village included a school, a Methodist church, businesses, and some two hundred residents.

Pitsburg has a 2024 population of 377.  It is currently declining at a rate of -0.53% annually and its population has decreased by -2.08% since the most recent census, which recorded a population of 385 in 2020.
