Sunday was a rare warm sunny day. A fine time for a bit of photo wandering. Due to Covid, even though have had both Moderna shots in early February, it's best to continue to be careful, so decided to go downtown.
Now on a Sunday most folks, if out and about, head for the shopping centers not the center of town, so it should safe.
Keeping it simple, decided to take the latest addition to the toolbox, a single fixed lens Fuji X100F camera and a screw on wide angle adapter .
A bit about the X100F for camera geeks. It features a 24.3MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS III sensor and X-Processor Pro image processor and expandable sensitivity to ISO 51200. The built-in Fujinon 23mm f/2 lens provides a general wide-angle 35mm equivalent focal length.
The Fuji WCL-X100 II wide-angle conversion lens opens things up to a 28mm equivalent 35mm point of view.
A few of the results from the mid-day walkabout.
Richmond, Indiana.
A former Department Store closed and left town. The city took over control of the building with hopes of attracting a company / corporation to move in. So far no luck. The county health department is using the facility for Covid testing and vaccinations.
A few blocks away came across a Red, White and Blue scene that couldn't pass up.
As this was the first real walkabout using this camera, headed over to Historical section of town. Use this area to test / check out equipment and return to compare with previous equipment.
Paulee's is for quick breakfasts and short lunches on week days and Saturdays.
Finally, no photo trip to this part of town is complete without a stop at the Block Head records location.
Camera, conversion lens and operator seem to get along and work well together. The smaller and lighter load turns a walkabout into a pleasant and profitable journey.
Will post more from the Sunday wandering later this week.
