Usually have a Plan A: to visit specific locations. However, on this wonderful sunny warm day, missed a turn in the road and ended up completely lost.
Time for Plan B: carry on and see what happens. After passing several miles of corn and bean fields, arrived at a populated place.
Stopped, picked up a camera, started a walkabout to ask for directions to a main road. To my dismay, I found no one for help. I seemed to be the only person there.
Time for Plan C: retrace your route in order to return to Plan A.
