With three days to go, might be a fine time to stop the world and get off.
Have just the place - Hobbs, Indiana.
Hobbs is an unincorporated community located close to the center of Indiana about 484 miles west of Washington DC.
Hobbs or Hobbs Station dates from about 1872 and has always been a shipping point for agricultural products. The first house in Hobbs was built in 1872. Hobbs Station was located on a farm owned by Henderson Hobbs. Early businesses in Hobbs included a general store, saw mill and blacksmith shop. The post office was established in 1876.
As far as we can tell, Hobbs has not been included in past Census counts, so there is no population information for this community.
Might be just the place to spend some time until the Washington DC area settles down.
