TGIF: A Week From He**.

First off, Blogger changed formatting a blog entry.  The "new" way is, for my way of working, not intuitive.  For a few weeks you could choose to use the old formatting instead of the new approach, but that is now not possible and the only choice is the new one.  Seems once again, the latest greatest thing is - for me - not all that great.

This has also been a week of Apple Misery.  After many months of review reading decided the time was right to purchase an Apple watch.  The main attraction being the health options that it offers.

The watch arrived early in the week.  On opening the the package and reading the requirements for it's use, discovered that an IPhone was necessary to setup the watch.  Not just any IPhone but one that with an operating system that was newer than the one on my IPhone.

O.K. just update the phone - NOT.  Seems my IPhone OS cannot be updated to meet the requirements for an Apple watch.

Two choices: return the watch and seek a another manufactures watch that is pairs with my IPhone or keep the watch and replace the IPhone.

The first choice is the cheapest way to go but would offer a watch with fewer health choices.  The second choice is more expensive but offers a watch with wanted health choices.

After a day of checking out other available watches, decided to keep the watch and replace the IPhone.

Quick trip to telephone provider to pick out an IPhone and have them transfer data from old to new phone.

Now the fun started - NOT.  Returning home to began pairing the watch and phone.  Will spare the reader the difficulties that took place over the next several days.

Finally, with help of my friend - Google - managed to pair phone and watch.  Now that they are communicating with each other, am continuing to uncover and learning how to use the many varied tasks that this combination offers.

Enough Apple stuff, will finish with a unrelated photograph.
