Richmond-based Reid Health has acquired the 16 acres of King's Plaza. Built in the late 1970s to accommodate King's Department Store. The shopping plaza also included a drug store, auto parts store, fabric store and grocery. It was later known for being the home of County Market and then Cub Foods.
Richmond, Indiana.
The health system has remodeled a portion of the County Market building into a Medicare-Medicaid center offering primary care, rehabilitation, adult day services and transportation which provides an alternative to nursing home care for people who are eligible but want to remain in their home as long as possible.
