In 1902,  he removed its stage and auditorium and turned the second floor into a public dance hall and skating rink.

In 1907, it was sold to the Masons, who remodeled it as their first Masonic Temple in Elwood, and maintained it until 1999.

Randall Hall of Elwood bought the building to serve as rental space and offices for his computer software company. Hall hired Keith Israel, a great-great-grandson of Gus Kramer, who urged him to restore it as an historic site and banquet hall.

The banquet facility first opened in 2001 as a site for proms, anniversaries, weddings, receptions, and high school reunions. Israel was manager until 2008, when  Hall replaced him.
