Monday Morning Coffee: The "Commons" Theatre

The Commons Theatre opened it's doors in January of 2013.

Located in a completely renovated three-story 1889 church, the building houses an art studio, classrooms, fellowship hall, and auditorium complete with a hand-crafted bi-level stage. The theatre accommodates 293, with handicapped accessibility.

   Alexandria, Indiana.

Under the umbrella of the non-for-profit Church Street Commons Ministry, "The Commons" Theatre exists to provide opportunities in the Fine Arts for youth and adults through education, events, and performances.

In 2001 a Tutor-mentor program was developed in order to help meet the educational and relational needs of area children. Continuing today, adult and high-school volunteers spend one hour weekly in the local intermediate school.
