As has been reported many times, folks are not eating out as often. There are several reasons for this - times are hard, money needed for other purposes, long working days, desire to just stay home, recover and prepare for the next busy week.
Another changing habit is that folks are not going as often to bars to drink. Oh, they are still drinking, but now in their home or at a party with friends in private homes.
Wandering along a main street, came across three closed bars within a block of each other.

shuttered.

In March 2011 Walkers Nightclub was open for business.

However now, in March eight years later, Walkers is closed replaced by a Pepsi machine.
