Traveling about the smaller Midwest communities it is not uncommon to discover a lodge hall. Usually they date from the late 1800's and/or early 1900's. A few continue to serve as an active lodge hall.

meeting place for the Society.

Others have been closed down and boarded .
New Lebanon, Indiana
Things can be different in a larger Midwestern city. With a larger and more diverse population to draw on, many Society's are active and their lodge halls reflect this.
You're in a city when this is the Society's lodge hall.
